Shipping agency are the appointed companies that handle operational and procedural requirements for a vessel's call at a port for the purposes of cargo handling. A shipping agency deals with all the transactions of a ship in every port that the ship visits or docks.

OWNERS/CHARTERER AGENT: Owners / Charterer agent stands in as second agent where there is an already nominated primary agent on a particular vessel .The agent stands in to protect the interest of their clients.
